POSTCODE
PROMPTER
What is it?
The
Postcode Prompter allows a caller to enter a postcode
into the telephone keypad and be automatically landed
to a phone number (or answer point).
Why Use it?
Mobile Callers
In Australia, when using a 1300/13/1800
number, you can route a fixed line caller by postcode
but you cannot do so with mobile phone callers. The
best you can do, is route by mobile regions which are
not accurate enough in many cases.
With the Postcode Prompter, you can land all mobile
phone callers to our system and route these callers
by postcode, just like the fixed line callers. This
creates uniformity and an accurate routing map for all
callers.
*Note: you can land all callers
to the prompter. You should note the difference in retail
call charges between "direct" routing and
"prompter" routing.
Customer Location
Often a caller will be at work, but
wish to be connected to a store nearest their home.
The postcode prompter alleviates this issue because
the caller can choose to enter the postcode that best
suits them.
Statistics and Measurements
Using the postcode prompter platform
allows us to measure your call usage with more relevance.
We can provide statistics on postcodes entered by your
callers.
Who Has Implemented the
Postcode Prompter?
Any business that requires multiple answer
points and accurate boundaries per store currently use
the platform.
Franchisors find the service invaluable
as they often have many franchise locations across Australia,
all with a list of postcodes to be allocated to them.
